Job Summary :

The Warehouse Material Handler III will drive specialized equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials in high-stacking, possibly narrow-aisle warehouse environments. This role requires operating specialized equipment like forklifts, managing inventory using Blue Yonder WMS System, preparing goods for shipment, and maintaining accurate records of material flow. The III designation often implies a higher level of experience, proficiency in complex tasks, and the ability to train junior handlers.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience operating a stand-up reach forklift, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks, and order pickers
  • Forklift trainer certification and active forklift certification (active and valid drivers license required)
  • Experience operating material handling equipment and RF Scanners
  • Knowledge of ERP / WMS systems
  • Understanding of proper stacking and storage methods
  • Meticulous attention to detail for accurate inventory management and order fulfillment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

Operating the Forklift :

  • Safely maneuver the stand-up reach forklift to lift, move, and place pallets of products in designated high-rack locations within narrow aisles.
  • Loading and Unloading :

  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks, moving materials from the loading dock to their storage locations and preparing outgoing shipments.
  • Inventory Management :

  • Use RF (radio frequency) scanners and WMS System (Blue Yonder) to accurately track inventory, pick orders, and ensure stock is placed in the correct location.
  • Material Handling :

  • Move stock between warehouse locations, staging pallets at shipping docks, and ensuring the efficient movement and organization of goods.
  • Inventory Management :

  • Record inventory data, conduct physical cycle counts, and use ERP system to ensure accurate tracking of products
  • Equipment Maintenance :

  • Conduct daily inspections of the forklift, report any maintenance or repair needs, and perform minor maintenance to keep the equipment in good working condition.
  • Safety and Compliance :

  • Adhere to OSHA standards and all company safety regulations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Training :

  • Assist with training less experienced Material Handlers
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to frequently lift and handle items up to 75lbs, along with good hand-eye coordination
  • Willingness to work in various shifts, potentially in cold environments, depending on the facility.
