Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a PA or compact license, Level I Trauma experience, and a BSN.

Job Details

  • Work in a hospital Operating Room setting,
  • Care includes Level I trauma cases and liver and kidney procedures,
  • Schedule includes two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00am-3 : 00pm and 7 : 00am-7 : 00pm),
  • On-call required : up to 6 weekdays and 2 weekends within a six-week period,
  • Must work one holiday and take on-call for one holiday,
  • Potential to float to the GI unit or Center One Surgery Center,
  • Uses Cerner EMR,

Job Requirements

  • Active PA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration,
  • BSN required,
  • Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room RN experience with Level I Trauma, liver, and kidney cases,
  • Experience with Cerner charting preferred,
  • Submission of valid state license or certification, two professional references from supervisors within the past two years, and copies of certifications required,
  • No first-time travelers considered,
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel pay eligibility,

    • Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for Level I trauma cases, as well as liver and kidney surgeries,
  • Required to complete orientation modules during initial 8 hours,
  • Holiday and on-call coverage is required as part of the contract,
  • PA fingerprinting required; must be completed prior to start and may require travel for processing,
  • Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing; time off requests must be submitted up front,
