Principal Architect, FTTP

Summary :

Our award-winning client is seeking a Principal Architect to join their team. This Principal Architect position resides in the R&D Wired Technologies organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for technology leadership and development, innovation of impactful ideas, and evangelism across the cable broadband community. The position requires working closely with cable operators and technology partners, and participating in defining current and next-generation FTTP solutions for the broadband access network ecosystem. The impact of the applicant's work on consumer, enterprise, and wireline broadband is global and game changing.

Responsibilities :

• Serve as a subject matter expert for the Wired Technologies team and broader cable industry.
• Define and lead FTTP-related solutions which result in more efficient deployment scenarios for cable operators, especially as it relates to business and operations integration, remote optical line terminals, etc.
• Create strategic collateral in the form of reports or technical briefs to assist cable operators with strategic decisions.
• Participate in innovation and creation of new solutions around FTTP deployments.
• Identify new requirements, key parameters, and application scenarios for FTTP cable access networks.
• Ideate and develop innovative concepts based on state-of-the-art innovations.
• System implementation and prototyping.
• Support proof-of-concept demonstrations, field trial testing.
