Position title : Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner / NP - Behavioral hospital setting

Location : Anchorage, AK

What You'll Do :

  • Setting : Inpatient behavioral hospital.
  • Full-time or part-time position available.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs.
  • Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.
  • Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
  • Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.

    • What We're Looking For :

  • Licensure : Active Alaska NP / APRN license or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • Education : Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Certification : AANPCB Board Certification.
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year of post-training experience in an inpatient or acute care setting preferred (behavioral health experience a plus).
  • Skills : Strong collaboration and communication abilities, with a patient-first approach.
