Now Hiring : Part-Time After-School Nanny for 2 Kids (Consistent Weekday Schedule!)

  • Pay Rate : $16.50 per hour - $17.00 per hour (With eligibility for raises in the future!)
  • Location : San Antonio

Location : 78209 – San Antonio, TX

We are seeking an energetic, engaging, and reliable after-school nanny to join a fun-loving family in the 78209 area! The family has two children—ages 5 and 9—who are bright, imaginative, and full of personality. They’re looking for a nanny who can bring warmth, structure, and enthusiasm to their afternoons while keeping the kids safe and active until their parents return home.

The children enjoy a mix of activities—sports, arts and crafts, and anything involving music or outdoor play. Both are curious, social, and love helping with baking or simple cooking projects. The ideal nanny will enjoy being hands-on—whether that’s doing crafts, exploring the park, or encouraging creative play after school.

The family also has a small, friendly dog who loves attention. While pet care isn’t required, the dog may occasionally be nearby and enjoys being part of the family’s routine.

Schedule :

Monday – Friday, 2 : 30 PM – 5 : 30 PM

Start Date : Immediate

Anticipated End Date : Long-term position

Commitment : Long-term preferred

Responsibilities :

  • Provide attentive care and supervision for two children (ages 5 and 9)
  • Pick up children safely from school each afternoon
  • Engage kids in creative and active play (arts & crafts, games, outdoor time, etc.)
  • Assist with snacks and simple meal prep as needed
  • Support positive behavior using time-outs or loss of privileges when necessary
  • Communicate openly with parents about daily routines and updates
  • Optional additional hours available for light household help, including :
  • Children’s laundry and bedding
  • Sweeping or mopping main areas weekly
  • General tidying from the day’s activities

    • Qualifications :

    To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required prior to hire
  • At least one year of childcare experience (paid preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle for school pickup
  • Ability to pass a background check (provided and required)
  • Two childcare references (ready upon request)
