Satff Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in Westchester County, NY

We're seeking Certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) in New York to join our VNS Westchester care team. As a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) , you'll provide compassionate, hands-on care that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Important : You must have an active New York State HHA certification to be considered for this role.

What You'll Do as a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)

Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and dressing.

Take and record vital signs, report changes, and assist with medication reminders under nurse supervision.

Provide mobility support, including transfers, walking assistance, and help with mobility aids.

Perform light housekeeping, laundry, dishwashing, and maintain a safe living environment.

Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care teams while documenting all care provided.

Follow infection control practices, maintain confidentiality, and complete required ongoing training.

Qualifications

Active New York State HHA Certification

(required)

3+ years of experience required;

Must drive

Authorization to work in the United States

Fluent in English (speaking and understanding)

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality

Ability to prepare simple meals and perform light housekeeping

Completion of a NY State Department of Health-approved HHA training program (or equivalent)

Basic literacy and math skills

Must be 18 years or older

Compensation & Benefits

$23 / hour (based on experience and location)

Flexible scheduling - part-time, full-time, or weekend-only
