State Licensed Senior Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze complex billing for medical appropriateness and compliance

Assist in daily operations and facilitate education for coders and physicians

Monitor coding practices and collaborate with teams to enhance coding guidelines

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred with completion of medical coding certification

At least 5 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting

Current coding credential (CCS, CCS-P, CPC) or RHIA / RHIT required

Extensive knowledge of inpatient / outpatient billing and coding standards

Experience with medical insurance auditing and reimbursement processes
