Pay Rate : $65 / hr

Shift / Hours : 12-hour nights with flexibility to cover some day shifts; shared weekends; no on-call

Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse – ER / Medical Surgical will provide patient care in a 25-bed critical access hospital , working across both the Emergency Department and Med Surg unit. The nurse will care for patients of all ages and must be prepared to float between departments.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver comprehensive care across ER and Med Surg units.

Manage a 1 : 4 patient ratio in Med Surg while responding to emergency situations.

Support patient admissions, assessments, treatments, and documentation in CPSI Evident EMR .

Provide care in accordance with BLS and other clinical standards.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Required Experience :

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Current BLS certification.

Nice-to-Have Experience :

ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Prior critical access hospital experience.

Required Skills :

Emergency and medical-surgical nursing

Patient assessment and triage

EMR documentation (CPSI Evident)

Preferred Skills :

Pediatric and geriatric patient care

Crisis intervention and stabilization

Interdisciplinary collaboration

Additional Skills :

Flexibility to float between ER and Med Surg

Ability to handle high-volume, acute cases

Strong adaptability to varying shifts
