Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities

Reporting into our Editor-in-Chief, you'll take the lead in researching and producing highly engaging conference programs for the Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) sector.

Our customers are the senior compliance professionals whose role it is to ensure their organization conforms to geographical regulations. Our information and events help the compliance teams of the world’s biggest companies stay on top of the changing regulatory landscape, avoid risk and to operate ethically.

What you'll be doing includes, but isn't limited to;

  • Conducting in-depth research on current and emerging trends in the GRC sector to identify potential conference topics & themes.
  • Identifying & connecting with high level speakers or subject matter experts who are leaders in their fields and recruiting them to speak at our conferences.
  • Developing & delivering industry-leading conference programs in the US and Europe.
  • Collaborating with our sales & marketing teams to identify sponsors & delegate targets.
  • Assisting our marketing & event logistics team to ensure consistent and effective promotion of conferences.
  • Collaborating with the editorial team and the Editor-in-Chief to organize interviews and identify stories.
  • Attending Compliance Week events in the US & Europe to support the event team and ensure the delivery of exemplary events.

Essential and desirable capabilities

We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.

You will also need;

  • Demonstrable experience as a successful commercial conference producer, with a proven track record in delivering impactful conferences.
  • Strong research skills with an analytical ability.
  • Demonstrable understanding of GRC, Law, Finance, Data Protection, ESG, Financial Crime, Sanctions, and AML is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communications skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Business market research or editorial experience is also a plus.
