  • Admissions : No admissions expected while on call

  • Specialty Backup Available : Hospitalists, ICU teams, PSA Cardiologists
  • Support Staff Available : PA, MD

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

  • Credentialing Timeline : 60 days

    • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered (Mileage, Airfare, Lodging up to $150 / night, Parking, Rental Car & Fuel, Ground Transportation) REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Cardiac catheterizations
  • Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and related interventional procedures
  • Cath Lab procedures for inpatients
  • STEMI auto-accept program coverage

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Illinois license required (IMLC not accepted)
  • Board : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
  • DEA : Active DEA Certification required
  • Certifications : ACLS, CSR License
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year
  • Other Qualifications : Proficiency with Epic EMR

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide full Interventional Cardiology coverage on weekends
  • Perform inpatient Cath Lab procedures as needed
  • Cover hospital’s STEMI auto-accept program for regional patients
  • Consult with hospitalist and ICU teams for admitted patients
  • Collaborate with other employed and PSA cardiologists
  • Manage telephone call coverage with 30-minute response time
  • Work independently as the solo physician on coverage
