The Diesel Technician II is responsible for the safe timely repair and maintenance of heavy-duty transit vehicles passenger vehicles and other fleet vehicles used in transporting passengers to specific destinations within the City of Fayetteville Arkansas.
Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications :
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
AND
Completion of a Diesel Technology Certification or equivalent
OR
At least five years of experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field
Preferred Qualifications :
Associates degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Advanced specialized or technical training
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) a nd Passenger Endorsement or ability to obtain itwithin the first six months of hire
ASECertification
At least one year of heavy truck / transit maintenance experience
