What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead public sector business development, focusing on government bids and cooperative contracts
  • Identify bid opportunities, develop specifications, and manage the full RFP and contract process
  • Build strong relationships with state and local officials, purchasing agents, engineers, and consultants involved in public transit and accessibility initiatives
  • Deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations that highlight performance, compliance, and lifecycle value
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure quotes and proposals meet project requirements and profitability goals
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging funding programs within transportation and accessibility sectors
  • Track sales pipeline activity, prepare forecasts, and report results against goals
  • About You

  • Proven success in public sector or government sales - you know your way around RFPs, procurement rules, and bid portals
  • Skilled communicator who can make complex technical details easy to understand
  • Confident presenting to groups and building relationships with public officials, engineers, and project stakeholders
  • Organized and proactive, able to juggle multiple bids and deadlines without losing momentum
  • Comfortable with travel (around 50%) and energized by in-person relationship building
