Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU night shift position requiring a current NY license and recent MICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 16-bed Medical ICU setting
  • Patient population includes sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest, targeted temperature management, respiratory failure / shock
  • Care for patients with advanced therapies such as CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2, with 1 : 1 based on acuity
  • Night shift schedule is 3x12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Every other weekend is required
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred
  • Main responsibilities include managing complex and critically ill patients with advanced monitoring and therapies
  • Call off policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13 week assignment
  • Team-oriented environment with support from experienced ICU staff
  • Candidates must provide two professional supervisory references from within the past two years
  • Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled

  • Active NY RN license in hand required
  • Minimum 1 year recent experience in a MICU setting
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility for consideration
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply
