UNDERGROUND SALES REP QUALIFICATIONS

What You Need :

  • Proven experience in plumbing, underground utilities, or a related sales role
  • Working knowledge of sewer systems, trenchless repair methods, and underground construction practices
  • Communication skills, customer service mindset, and the ability to explain technical information in easy-to-understand terms
  • Ability to prepare accurate estimates and proposals
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and frequently stand, walk, crouch, and use equipment
  • Self-motivation to succeed and drive to manage profitable business pipelines
  • Comfort with working outdoors, in confined spaces, and on residential and commercial job sites
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

    • Preferred Criteria :

  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • High-volume sales experience

    • DAY-TO-DAY

    Our Underground Sales Rep evaluates clients' sewer and underground plumbing systems to secure more business for our company. You'll need to be highly communicative, attentive, and results-oriented as you develop job proposals, coordinate with field crews, and close business deals. Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to :

  • Using diagnostic tools and video inspection equipment to evaluate sewer and plumbing systems
  • Documenting any issues you observe (broken lines, intrusive roots, pipe failures, etc.)
  • Preparing accurate job estimates, creating detailed proposals, and obtaining permits
  • Determining repair and replacement options, presenting options to the customer, answering questions, and closing deals
  • Clearly communicating project scope, projected timelines, and quality expectations
  • Coordinating with technicians and project managers and following up with customers to ensure total satisfaction
  • Staying up-to-date with changing industry standards, new technology, and business products / services
  • Meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets
