Responsibilities Work in a large Emergency Department with 71 beds, including critical care, acute, Fast Track, behavioral health, pediatric, and observation areas Patient ratios range from 1 : 2 or 1 : 3 in critical care, 1 : 7 in Fast Track, and 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 in acute and Dpod areas Responsibilities include triage, assessment, medication administration, procedural sedation, airway management, and care for trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients Equipment and systems include Accudose, Cerner FirstNet with medication scanning, Phillips monitors, ISTATS, Accucheck, waived tests, chest tube drains, and restraints Scheduled for 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM and coverage every other weekend Required to work 2 or 3 major holidays and one 24-hour call shift every four weeks May occasionally float to ED behavioral health, pediatric ED, or ED observation areas Responsibilities include caring for both emergency and inpatient admission hold patients in the ED A one-week preceptor-based orientation and ED-specific training modules are provided Must complete competency checklists and training related to ISTAT and waived tests Branded Navy Blue Cherokee scrubs are required Staff are expected to understand and follow ED pathways, protocols, and work independently in a high-acuity environment Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department nursing experience Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC preferred Demonstrated skills in hemodynamic monitoring, airway management, dysrhythmia recognition, and CPR Experience in triage using ESI, IV starts, blood cultures, urinary catheter insertion, and EKG acquisition Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620826.
