Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Residential Custom Deck Builder Foreman with at least 5 years of experience to lead and manage large deck-building projects in the Santa Cruz and Monterey areas. As the Residential Custom Deck Builder Foreman, you will work hands-on with the team and oversee all aspects of construction, including framing, finish carpentry, composite decking installation, and more. Your expertise in deck building, leadership skills, and ability to communicate effectively with customers will ensure project success.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Organize and manage deck-building projects from start to finish.
• Read and interpret construction plans and ensure projects are built according to specifications.
• Supervise, train, and lead a team of 2-3 crew members in all aspects of deck construction.
• Oversee and participate in the entire construction process, including digging footings, post and girder framing, wood and composite decking installation, and railing installation.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that all necessary inspections are passed.
• Monitor and control project costs and schedules to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion.
• Communicate with customers throughout the process to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the offsite project manager to meet project goals.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of progress.
