We are currently searching for an experienced CAD Technician to support our Midwest Region located in Indianapolis, IN .

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar field.

What you’ll be doing :

• Provide assistance to engineers using MicroStation to create bridge detail plans and perform minor design work on bridge projects
• Provide assistance to engineers using MicroStation / Autocad Civil 3D to create roadway plan sets and perform minor design work on roadway projects
• Contribute to project production sheets by adding dimensions and laying out plans, title and detail sheets on production sets of plans
• Prepare minor mathematical calculations and quantity calculations for roadway / bridge projects
• Work with engineers to develop 3D models using both Open Road Designer and Open Bridge Designer
• Research applicable design codes and guidelines to ensure design compliance
• Research design options and documents findings
• Coordinate assignments with project team and supervisor
• Perform quality control reviews of design plans and calculations
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Be a team player and assist other groups as needed
