Accounts Receivable Clerk-AR

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a construction company in Downtown Phoenix. This company is in search of an AR clerk to join their team. This job is fully in office, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and will require you to speak to their customers via phone and face to face to receive payments. The hourly rate is between $19 / hr-$21 / hr.

Duties will include :

  • Generate and issue customer invoices and credits based on sales transactions.
  • Verify the accuracy of billing data and terms before issuing invoices.
  • Reconcile payments received with invoices and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Handle cash transactions and reconcile cash receipts daily.
  • Communicate with customers to address payment issues, answer inquiries, and facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve unapplied payments or misapplied funds.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of customer transactions, invoices, and payments.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Process new credit applications and maintain updated customer records and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments and customers to address billing inquiries and resolve disputes promptly.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service in person and over the phone.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of AR or collections experience
  • Previous experience in cashiering is preferred
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and multi-task
