ICU RN Job Details Position : ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract Location : Harvey, Illinois (60426) – Chicago area nursing job Contract Length : 13 weeks Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : March 16, 2026 Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18 : 45 – 07 : 15) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1710–$1750 Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 (occasionally 1 : 3) Unit Size : 24-bed Intensive Care Unit Charting System : Epic EMR Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Floating : Required as needed to other hospital units ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois RN license (required at time of application) Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred Ability to pass EKG strip test during orientation COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Willingness to float to other units as needed Maximum 7 days of requested time off during contract Two professional references (including one from a direct supervisor or nurse manager) ICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU Monitor and manage patients with complex neurological and cardiac conditions Perform advanced ICU nursing procedures : arterial line management, ventilator care, central line care, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Participate in rapid response and Code 33 emergency teams Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR Float to other hospital units as required Comply with all hospital policies and procedures Ready to take the next step in your critical care nursing career?
