Travel Nurse RN - Med / Surg / Telemetry - $2,174 per week in Washington, DC

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Medical / Surgical Telemetry Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required. Minimum of 2 years of Med / Surg Telemetry experience required. Cerner experience required. License : Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse. Certifications : BLS and ACLS required. NIHSS required. Must-Have : Live at least 50 miles away from the facility. BSN highly desired. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required. Description : Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients' needs. Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Completes admission assessments in the established timeframe according to policy and procedures.
