International Logistics Manager
Manages the international logistics for the organization while enforcing standard operating procedures to comply with federal regulations.
Essential Job Functions
- Negotiates ocean, drayage and customs broker rates and manages partner performance.
- Assess, recommend, and manage optimal carrier selection for the organization.
- Implement and manage US customs processes and procedures to include product classification and tariff usage.
- Compiles, analyzes, and distributes information related to ocean and drayage tracking, logistics costing and performance KPI.
- Develop, maintain and manage written processes and procedures for landed cost drivers relating to imported items.
- Manages Freight Forwarder PO management tool.
- Develops and maintains processes for automated shipment visibility and tracking.
- Develop and manage department budget, and review monthly with upper management.
- Develop and maintain plans to ensure all container tracking information in organizational planning systems.
- Analyze warehouse capacity and inbound product flows to manage capacity and demand.
- Subject matter expert for the organization to communicate key global events that could cause delays or issues with supply chain.
- Manage and resolve issues with drayage where demurrage / detention are incurring.
- Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years' experience in international logistics to include ocean, drayage and / or US customs.Bachelor's degree in business, preferred.Detail oriented.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent problem solving and organization skills.Self-motivated, goal-oriented and flexible.Up to 10% travel required.Behavioral Attributes
