Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma Step-Down / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Pay : $26 – $38 / hr (based on experience and tenure)
Night Differential : +$4.50 / hr
Weekend Differential : +$2.00 / hr
Certification Differential : +$2.00 / hr (national certification)
Sign-On Bonus : $10,000 (Days) / $15,000 (Nights) – tiered payout
Relocation Assistance : Up to $5,000 with HR approval
Shifts : Full-time, 12-hour shifts (Rotating weekends required)

Overview
Join a 383-bed Level II Trauma Center and regional referral hospital in Bradenton, FL . The Trauma Step-Down / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) supports patients requiring close monitoring and high-acuity care, including post-trauma and complex medical-surgical cases. Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Trauma Step-Down / PCU setting.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in accordance with hospital standards and evidence-based practice.
Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and respond to patient condition changes promptly.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment, recovery, and long-term health management.
Qualifications
Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred .
Current RN license in Florida or compact state.
Current BLS from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must be active at hire).
ACLS preferred ; required within 6 months of hire.
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (acute care preferred, but LTACH, Rehab, or Home Health backgrounds will be considered).
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to perform frequent standing, lifting, bending, and moving of patients / equipment (up to 50 lbs).
