Yes, only with 2+ years of experienceTravelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facilityPermanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a travelerPatient Types :This is a mixed acuity unit meaning there will be Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg - please ensure traveler understandsDirect admits, ED admits, Post Cath Lab, etcMI, NSTEMI & STEMI (IABP would go to ICU), CHF, Dysrhythmia management, Pacemaker malfunction, Epicardial pacersBackup Stroke unit and Medical OverflowStep down level experience with post cardiac / vascular, post-cardiac cath patients, post open heart surgery, post TAVR, post EP studies, post pacemaker insertionPatient Ratios :RN : 1 : 4 most of the time, can be 1 : 3 (acuity dependent)Required Certifications :BLS, ACLS, NIHSSRequired Education :Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of NursingSkills required :PCU level RNExperience with Cardiac procedural recovery (CABG / TAVR / post cardiac cath), MI pharmacology, titratable Cardiac / vasoactive gtts (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine) - please request manager approval if traveler does not have this, Heparin gtts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes management, TNK administration (preferred)Support on the Unit :CNA (Ratio : 1 : 5-8, depending on shift)Charge nurse - UnassignedPhlebotomy - Yes, peripheral blood drawsIV / VAT Team - NoResource Nurse - OccasionallyTele tech would oversee cardiac monitoring - RN would confirm strips 6a & 6pRT - yes, 24 / 7Hospitalist - in facility 24 / 7, but not dedicated to unitCharting System / Equipment :Epic - please let CRT know if traveler does not have EPIC experience so they can ask approvalAlarisOmnicellFloating : If yes, where?Primarily to our sister unit, General PCU - as neededCould also be floated to MS / Tele or ICU to care for PCU level patientsCould be floated within scope of practice and belowOrientation : (facility and unit)2 partial days of education(3) 12hr shifts on the unitScheduling :Weekend rotation : Every otherWill they be on call?
