Coverage Type : Clinical Only
Coverage Period : 3 months
Clinical Shift Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM
On-Call Shift Schedule : Shared on-call responsibilities

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics : Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Rounding : Included

Case Mix : Complex medical, psychiatric, and behavioral health conditions

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required : No

Temporary Privileges Available : N / A

Credentialing Timeline : TBD

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate : TBD REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General primary care and internal medicine procedures as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active Texas medical license (MD / DO)

Board : BC / BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

DEA : Active DEA certification

Certifications : NPI

Experience : Prior experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred

Other Qualifications : Enrollment with Medicare Part B and Texas Medicaid; background checks and drug screenings

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide primary and specialized medical care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

Develop and oversee individualized health care plans

Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams

Complete medical documentation and reports on time

Participate in DOJ compliance and quality improvement efforts

Provide limited occupational health services to staff

Share on-call responsibilities with other qualified staff
