JOB OBJECTIVE :  Assist the Director of Nursing with the development and maintenance of nursing service objectives, standards, policies, procedures; help implement these programs, policies and procedures; and administer specific assigned areas of responsibility, including quality assurance, staff development, recruitment, hiring, orientation and payroll.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / DUTIES :

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered nurse license in good standing with State Board of Nursing in the state of North Carolina.
• Previous experience as a shift charge nurse in a long-term care facility.
• Previous supervisory and administrative experience in a geriatric long-term care setting preferred.
• Must be able to use the English language to satisfy the communications and record keeping requirements involved in the performance of this job position with or without reasonable accommodation,
• Must maintain neat, well-groomed appearance adhering to dress code of the facility.
• Must satisfy all established licensing and certification requirements applicable to this job position.
• Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodation,
• Must comply with facility's drug testing and substance abuse program and policies.

Supervision (Given and Received) :

Given : Acts as Director in Director's absence. Received : Supervised by Director of Nursing.
