Summary of Position :

• The Laboratory Assistant performs the general daily specimen processing, testing, and quality assurance as set forth by the laboratory guidelines.
• The Laboratory Assistant personnel monitor laboratory temperatures, accession samples, and examine specimen integrity to ensure acceptable levels of performance.
• The Laboratory Assistant immediately notifies the Laboratory Manager or Medical Laboratory Technician / Technologist of any problems or concerns related to patient testing.
