DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will prepare and maintain medical records for SCI Waymart. Your work will involve uploading and extracting information in the Electronic Health Record system, reviewing medical records for completeness and accuracy, and referring inadequate or incomplete records to health care staff for corrections. You will also file, withdraw, and issue health care records in accordance with all applicable laws, policies, regulations, and guidelines on confidentiality. Your duties will include composing routine requests for medical information from other facilities, transferring records for inmates paroling or being transferred, and archiving records for inmates who have left the system. Additionally, you will prepare periodic statistical reports and verify medical coding included on various reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).
