About The Position

Must-Have : Candidates must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with partner organizations.

Description :

RN staff must pass a skills exam during orientation.

This is an open book exam, and all necessary resources will be provided for success.

A minimum score of 90% is required to pass; failure to do so may result in termination.

The unit typically accommodates adult patients arriving through the emergency department, along with mixed medical / surgical, cardiac, and stroke cases.

RNs are required to titrate drips, including but not limited to heparin, octreotide, and maintenance dosages of IV medications.

Charge nurses are present on each shift, and they may take patient assignments.

Patient care techs and nurse aides are available on the unit with a 1 : 14 ratio.

The unit features specialty equipment, including code carts, LUCAS machines, and hoyer lifts.

RNs must possess the ability to read and interpret telemetry, as telemetry technicians are part of the unit.

Scheduling operates on a six-week rotation, with alternating weekend and holiday shifts required.

Floating responsibilities may include medical / surgical and other departments based on patient care needs.

Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.

The unit experiences high patient turnover with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate teamwork and a positive attitude to navigate challenges effectively.
