Position Overview
The Rental Coordinator is responsible for the overall daily operations of the rental department, focusing on maximizing rental utilization, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient, accurate administrative procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Customer engagement and sales :
Serve as the primary point of contact for all rental inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with rental customers to ensure repeat business.Provide expert guidance to customers on products and services to meet their specific rental needs.Execute the rental process from inquiry to invoice, including securing all necessary customer information and documentation.Operational management :Manage and track daily rental utilization, maintaining up-to-date yard checks and reporting on inventory status to management.
Develop and implement efficient billing routines to guarantee the timely and accurate invoicing of rental charges.Assist the collections team with past-due invoices as needed.Safeguard company assets by enforcing strong internal controls and following all company policies and credit procedures.Reporting and communication :Generate and provide comprehensive weekly and monthly rental reports for management.
Foster a collaborative environment by effectively communicating with other department managers and employees.Safety and environmental standards :Ensure the rental office and yard areas are consistently clean and safe for both customers and staff.
Promote a customer-focused culture that emphasizes safety and cleanliness.Knowledge and Physical Requirements
At least 2 years customer service experience.High school diploma or equivalent.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Strong written / verbal communication skills.Occasionally lift and / or move up to 25lbs.Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditionsValid Driver’s license required.
