Medical Assistant And Dexa Technician

Hourly Pay Range : $20.69 - $30.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights :

  • Position : Medical Assistant and DEXA Technician
  • Location : Elmhurst Hospital, Elmhurst, IL
  • Full Time, 40 hours weekly
  • Hours : Monday-Friday, 7 : 00am to 3 : 30pm or 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
  • Will work one Saturday every 4th week, 7am to 3 : 30pm

What You Will Do :

  • Functions as part of the Women's Health Center while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring patient's safety and privacy.
  • Provide healthcare services under the direction of the Lead Mammography and / or designee.
  • This position provides clinical support and direct patient care by working collaboratively with the care team while ensuring patient loyalty.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the mission of Endeavor Health and the Service Guild and demonstrates a service orientation and adheres to all responsibilities and standards of the Hospital and the Guild.
  • Use Cadence and Radiant to schedule and perform all patient exams.
  • Consults with Radiologist when appropriate.
  • Utilizes computer for acquisition and processing of bone density exams.
  • Work with physician to generate complete and accurate DEXA reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintains all records in compliance with department, state, and federal policies and regulations.
  • Assist in the transporting of acutely ill patients as needed.
  • Assist with clerical duties (phone, scheduling, computer entry, etc.).
  • Help insure safe and clean working environment for patients and co-workers
  • What You Will Need :

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 2 Years professional experience in the chosen discipline and qualified in appropriate educational methodologies.
  • BLS Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) - American Heart Association (AHA) Required
