We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Payroll Specialist
to join our team. This role will focus on
US multi-state payroll operations
with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and employee service. If you have hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and a passion for delivering seamless payroll processes, we’d love to hear from you.
Essential Functions
Manage day-to-day payroll processing tasks, including retroactive transactions, one-time payments, EIB mass file uploads, payroll on / off-boarding, and payroll inputs.
Ensure
consistency, accuracy, and integrity
of payroll data across the organization.
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
Prepare periodic and ad-hoc payroll reports as needed.
Follow payroll SOPs and contribute to creating and updating procedures.
Support testing and implementation of new payroll technologies and processes.
Monitor Workday Payroll functionality and recommend improvements.
Provide timely, professional responses to employee payroll inquiries.
Identify payroll issues, escalate as needed, and act as back-up for the Head of US Payroll.
Qualifications
3+ years of US payroll operations experience
(multi-state payroll preferred).
Hands-on experience or documented training in
Workday Payroll
Strong knowledge of
payroll compliance and regulations
Excellent organizational skills with
keen attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and discretion.
Exceptional
communication and client service skills
Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working under pressure.
Technical proficiency with payroll systems and tools.
FPC or CPP certification
preferred.
