The Senior Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate management of all general accounting functions for Sibling Revelry Brewing and property legal entities including A / R, A / P, monthly financial reporting, and financial planning, as well as ensuring that all financial information conforms to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policy. This position will manage the financial system and processes needed to provide senior management with data required to make effective and timely business decisions. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment without compromising attention to detail or accuracy.
Essential Functions
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements (i.e. balance sheets, income statements, etc.), or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards for assigned entities.
- Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation for assigned entities.
- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll for assigned business units.
- Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare P&L and cash forecasts.
- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed.
- Carryout fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation.
- Interpret and communicate financial data clearly to stakeholders.
- Responsible for producing consolidated financial statements.
- Perform basic audits of related entity financials.
- Report KPIs to TruWest management regarding the finances of organization.
- Serve as bank administrator and back-up administrator as needed.
- Liaise with external accounting support firms.
- Complete bookkeeping as needed for assigned entities.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current technology.
- Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of all accounting tasks.
- May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events, specific projects, or program changes.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.Five or more years of experience as a financial leaderIn-depth understanding of and experience applying GAAP required.Hands-on experience with accounting software packages required. Knowledge of QuickBooks online highly preferred.Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables, complex ‘if’ statements, and data visualization required.Must uphold strict confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial data.Must be comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment.Strong oral and written communication as well as problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to take and pass a background check.Performance Requirements
