Banquet Set-Up Attendant
The Banquet Set-Up Attendant sets up, breaks down, and services all banquet function space and meeting rooms in accordance with Hotel Arista's four diamond standards.
Responsibilities include :
- Attending all pre-shift meetings.
- Working closely with the Banquet Servers to ensure guest satisfaction by providing outstanding service.
- Replenishing water requirements as specified or requested.
- Serving meeting rooms by emptying trash, removing dirty plates, cups, linens and glasses, and replacing items as necessary.
- Cleaning and setting up meeting rooms and banquet functions per specifications on resume and Banquet Event Orders or as given by banquet management including vacuuming floors, cleaning walls and windows / mirrors.
- Responsible for the proper care, movement, and storage of all equipment such as tables and chairs.
- Maintaining proper storage of meeting room supplies such as linen and pens / pencils.
- Clearing tables and returning all equipment to their respective areas.
- Retrieving all reusable food items and placing them on a separate queen.
- Ensuring that all spills and breakage are attended to immediately.
- Informing manager or captain of any problems or complaints from guests.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Following hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
- Understanding applicable emergency procedure and evacuation protocol.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include :
High school diploma or equivalent education.One to two years of banquet set up or banquet serving experience.Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.Skills required :
Excellent written and verbal skills.Neat and clean appearance.Ability to work in a team environment.Must be able to compute basic arithmetic.Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work nights weekends, and holidays.Physical requirements :
