Job Description
As a member of the Health & Safety team, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development of our Global Corporate health & safety program. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, become a subject matter expert at our Global Home Office, urgently respond and react to reported incidents, organize and conduct training, and have strong communication skills.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Primary focus to start will be on the Distribution Centers with eventual expansion into the Global Home Office and Stores
- Ensure the business is compliant with all health & safety regulations
- Monitor health & safety risks and hazards; advise on how to correct and / or mitigate
- Partner with cross functional teams to meet health & safety objectives
- Set up and arrange all required health & safety trainings
- Conduct weekly safety orientations
- Training documentation entry
- Investigate and determine root-cause for all accidents / near-misses and provide solutions
- Organize data and identify trends; maintain necessary databases relative to safety
- Drive a safety-oriented culture through engagement activities, championing our program at all levels
- Develop content and drive safety team meetings
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis / PPE Assessments, Fall Protection Inspections and safety audits
What Do You Need To Bring?
Bachelor’s degree1+ years of professional experience in equivalent role preferred, H&S training can also be provided if hiredMulti-lingual preferredAbility to travel domestically, potentially internationallyAbility / desire to work onsite (not a remote role)Ability to work independentlyExceptional organizational and communication skillsExcellent project management capabilities, with ability to communicate effectively at different levels of the organization across functions and geographiesAbility to adjust quickly to a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and work well under pressureAbility to quickly establish rapport, credibility, and trust within + outside of the organizationAdvanced PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBIOur Company
