MD / DO Ophthalmologist - Cornea

Emplify Health by Gundersen is recruiting for a BC / BE Corneal, Cataract, and Refractive surgeon to take over a busy and established practice. The ideal candidate should be interested in all corneal surgeries, including corneal crosslinking, refractive and complex cataracts, as well as refractive surgery such as LASIK and PRK.

Shared call is 1 : 10 with board-certified Ophthalmologists on staff. We are a full-service ophthalmology department with comprehensive ophthalmologists and subspecialists, including glaucoma, retina, pediatrics, and oculoplastics.

The Gundersen Eye Department provides the latest technology and equipment. We are a well-established, thriving, and collegial group. Since we serve a large regional area, we encounter a wide variety of pathologies in a diverse patient population.

We ensure state-of-the-art eye care to the citizens of southwest Wisconsin, southeast Minnesota, and northeast Iowa. Our professional eye care team includes optometrists, certified ophthalmic and optometric technicians, contact lens specialists, low vision personnel, and on-site opticians.

Candidates must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the stated area of medicine. They must also have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region without restrictions. Our medical staff will supervise advanced practice clinicians, and providers may be required to offer outreach services as part of their role. Teaching students, residents, fellows, or clinical staff is a core aspect of our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation for all medical staff.
