Job descriptionReview and analyze project designs, evaluate constructability concerns, and prepare budgets and estimates. Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Perform accurate quantity take-offs and develop project plans and schedules. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Prepare estimates for project proposals. Perform detailed quantity take-offs, including import / export, backfill, piping, etc., and organize estimates for clarity. Use historical data and current software to prepare self-performed estimates. Conduct site visits, review design documents, and identify value engineering opportunities. Facilitate bidding processes and maximize coverage for all scopes. Engage proactively in bidding and negotiations, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders. Assess and mitigate potential risks, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Develop project schedules, understand various construction methods, and ensure smooth transfer to operations. Stay informed about industry trends and pursue ongoing training. Represent the company professionally and uphold quality standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Bluebeam or similar PDF takeoff software Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint HCSS Heavybid or similar estimating software Agtek or similar earthwork takeoff software Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; PE license or ability to obtain is a plus. 3-5 years of experience in engineering, estimating, or related fields, especially in mass earthwork, underground utilities, and water / wastewater treatment plants.
