Responsibilities

We are seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations across two established manufacturing sites in North Carolina. This hands-on leadership role is the second-in-command within finance and reports directly to the Group Controller. You will lead an accounting team and be responsible for all core financial functions, including AP / AR, payroll, cash management, internal controls, and compliance. Additional responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, cost and margin analysis, consolidated reporting, and generating financial statements and management reports. You will serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits, ensure GAAP and tax compliance, and partner with site leaders to align financial and operational practices. The role also supports long-term strategy such as acquisitions and expansions while mentoring and developing a team of five direct reports.

Qualifications

• CPA required; CMA preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's preferred.
• Progressive accounting / finance experience in manufacturing.
• Proven success managing multi-level accounting teams and financial operations.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, compliance, audits, and financial reporting.
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and risk assessment.
• ERP / accounting systems experience with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Background in cost and margin analysis is a plus.
• Experience with audits and regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments.
• Compensation noted : $170,000 base + 20% bonus.
