JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing treatment for the care of individuals whose ability to function is impaired or threatened by disease or injury, encompassing preventive measures, screening, tests in aid of diagnosis by a licensed physician of medicine, osteopath, dentistry, chiropractor or podiatry.
Complete evaluation and invasive or noninvasive procedures with emphasis on the skeletal system, neuromusculare and cardiopulmonary function. Duties include screening and evaluations performed to determine the degree of impairment such as, but not limited to nerve and muscle function including subcutaneous bio-electrical potentials, motor development, functional capacity, respiratory or circulatory efficiency. Administering treatment performed upon physician referral and professional plan of care including, but not limited to, exercises for increasing or restoring strength, endurance, coordination and range of motion, stimuli to facilitate motor activity and learning,instruction in activities of daily living and the use of assistive devices and the application of physical agents ro relieve pain or alter physiological status. The use of roentgen rays and radium for therapeutic purposes, the use of electricity for surgical purposes, including cauterization and colonic irrigation's are not authorized per practice act.

Minimum Education
- Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited school in Physical Therapy.
- Current BLS certification.
Minimum Work Experience
Zero or more years in the field of Physical Therapy.Required Licenses

Maximal Assistance - Patient can perform 25% or less of the physical activity; therapy staff performs 75% or more.
Total Assistance - Patient can not perform any of the physical activity; therapy staff performs 100% of the task.
Visual and Hearing Requirements
Must be able to see with corrective eyewear if needed.
Must be able to hear clearly with assistance if needed.
