Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our dynamic team in Santa Clara, CA. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading engineering firm that provides comprehensive solutions for critical facility and life safety monitoring and controls systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop, program, and implement PLC systems, ensuring high reliability and performance.
Work with a variety of automation hardware and software from manufacturers including Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, G.E., Modicon, WonderWare, Indusoft, Ignition, and SCADA.
Read, interpret, and modify electrical control schematics, logic diagrams, and flow diagrams.
Ensure safety protocols are followed in all programming and operational procedures.
Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot system issues, providing quick and effective solutions.
Specify, design, and install automation programs tailored to customer needs, including configuring devices such as VFDs.
Modify existing programs to meet specific project requirements and enhance system performance.
Provide technical guidance and support to Field Service Engineers in programming, repair, installation, and maintenance of PLC systems.
Develop operating procedures and serve as a key problem-solver and advisor on PLC-related issues.
Required Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in PLC programming.
Proficiency with various automation hardware and software platforms.
Strong understanding of electrical control schematics and safety protocols.
Ability to create and read logic and flow diagrams for design, programming, and testing.
Experience in system monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications :
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
