• Location : Sioux Falls, South Dakota (zip 57105)\n
• Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Ortho / Neuro-Med Surg Unit\n
• Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026)\n
• Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights; every other weekend and holiday\n
• Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary : $2140-$2290\n
• Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs\n
• Charting System : EPIC\n
• Patient Ratios : 1 : 5-6 on nights\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or compact state\n
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)\n
• At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience\n
• Ability to float to Medical Surgical or Telemetry units within scope of practice\n
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled\n
• Must badge in and out at facility\n\nMed / Surg Nurse Responsibilities\n
• Provide individualized patient care using the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation\n
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate patient care\n
• Perform age-appropriate patient assessments and nursing interventions\n
• Manage care for patients with complex medical needs\n
• Educate patients and families on health, treatment, and follow-up care\n
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors\n
• Comply with legal regulations and organizational policies regarding patient health information\n
• Document patient care using EPIC charting system\n
