Insight Global is seeking a degreed Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of experience on USACE or other DoD large vertical projects. The candidate will need to have heavy HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Commissioning and Testing Experience. They will need to be able to review design documents and respond to RFI's as well as provide submittal review.
This individual will support remodels and new construction at a military installation in order to improve living conditions.
Required Skills & Experience
Responsibilities :
Design & Construction Review : Evaluate major design, renovation, and alteration projects.
Documentation & Compliance : Review RFIs, submittals, BCOES, and perform plan-in-hand reviews.
Mechanical Systems Oversight : Inspect and test HVAC, piping, plumbing, and building control systems.
Commissioning : Monitor and document commissioning of building systems.
Reporting & Contracting : Prepare correspondence, reports, and A-E contract criteria.
Change Orders & Claims : Review complex change orders and claims for justification and documentation.
Meeting Participation : Attend mechanical and plumbing meetings, contribute to RFP / design discussions including LEED compliance.
Warranty Support : Participate in warranty inspections and ensure contractual warranty maintenance.
Job-Type : 6-month Contract to Permanent Hire Opportunity
Hourly Pay : $50-$61 / hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
