CNC Programmer

Our client, a nationwide manufacturer and distributor of chemical products, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Programmer, to join their winning team in Palm City.

Our candidate of choice will be primarily responsible for all aspects of operating various machines and maintaining them in the Machine Shop.

This includes CNC as well as manual machines.

Additional duties include assembling and repair of various machines parts as well as in-house machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Ability to read technical drawings Ability to operate a computer to : ▪ Print drawings Research via the internet items or solutions for various projects Manual Machines : Ability to operate manual machines that include : Lathes, Milling Machine, Surface grinders (ID and OD) CNC Machine : Perform routine maintenance of CNC Machines, Mills and Lathes Maintain all CNC related tooling, keeping them organized and in working condition Setup jobs in CNC machine Program CNC Machine via conversational input mode Load CAM program in CNC machine, double-check : ▪ Tool in carrousel Speeds and Feeds for tools and materials Run CAM program : with minimal risk Write programs for CNC machines using MasterCam.

Other duties (ability to be trained to operate) Operate Injection molding machines Operate Metal stamping press Operate fork-lift KEY REQUIREMENTS : At least eight years of experience in general machining with some CNC experience.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to use Microsoft Office : Word, Excel, Outlook familiarity with SolidWorks and Mastercam.

Well organized, with great attention detail Maintain a professional appearance and a clean work environment.

Able to work under moderate supervision, able to effectively follow verbal and written directions to complete all duties in a timely and accurate manner.

Good communication skills – both verbal and written Work well in a team environment with a strong sense of commitment to both the company and the customer.

Comply with the company’s established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and accident prevention methods in assigned area(s) of responsibility, with thorough knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and standard practices in operation of a warehouse.

Ability to use common measuring tools such as rulers, calipers, micrometers.

Ability to use more specialized tools such as : Rockwell hardness tester, ID / OD gauges, etc.
