Human Resources Manager
Addison Group is partnering with a leading transportation services organization that is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and community-centered experience for riders and employees alike. The HR team plays a key role in supporting a workforce of 300+ employees and is known for its collaborative and mission-driven culture.
The Human Resources Manager will oversee daily HR operations, supporting all functions including benefits, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and performance management. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to department leaders and act as a strategic business partner in driving employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include :
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring compliance and consistency across all HR programs and policies.
- Managing employee relations issues and serving as a resource for conflict resolution, investigations, and coaching for managers.
- Overseeing recruitment and onboarding activities, partnering with department heads to meet staffing needs.
- Administering and reconciling employee benefits, ensuring accurate billing and timely processing.
- Coordinating performance management processes, ensuring timely completion of reviews and feedback cycles.
- Maintaining HR records, compliance reporting, and documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Supporting audits, policy reviews, and internal communication initiatives.
- Utilizing HR systems to optimize processes and track HR metrics.
- Preparing and managing departmental budgets, invoices, and expense reconciliations.
- Partnering with leadership to promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Qualifications include :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.58 years of progressive HR experience with exposure to all major HR functions.Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience managing at least two direct reports.Experience working in a unionized or customer service-oriented environment is a plus.Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FMLA, FLSA, EEO, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.).Demonstrated experience with benefits administration, billing, and reconciliation.Proficiency with HRIS systems (Paycom, ADP, Workday, or similar).Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.Additional details include :
