Position Summary
The Warehouse Coordinator supports daily warehouse operations for a telecommunications company specializing in network construction, fiber installation, and related infrastructure. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment used by field crews and project teams. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management : Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials such as conduit, fiber optic cable, fittings, handholes, and related telecom supplies.
- Order Fulfillment : Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately for field technicians and project crews.
- Shipping & Receiving : Load and unload deliveries using forklifts or pallet jacks; verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery tickets.
- Material Tracking : Maintain accurate inventory counts in the warehouse management system (WMS) or company database.
- Equipment Management : Track tools, test equipment, and consumables issued to and returned by field personnel.
- Safety Compliance : Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols, maintain clean and organized work areas, and report any hazards or damaged materials.
- Documentation : Complete receiving logs, inventory adjustments, and shipping paperwork as required.
- Coordination : Communicate effectively with procurement, project managers, and field supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
- Other Duties : Support cycle counts, warehouse audits, and other logistics functions as assigned.
Qualifications
Required :
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).1+ year of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred).Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory tracking.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Preferred :
Experience in the telecommunications , construction , or utility industry.Familiarity with fiber optic materials, conduit, and network installation components.Experience with inventory software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar).Core Competencies
