Remote Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes

Adhere to the Standards of Ethical Coding and official coding guidelines

Ensure compliance with coding classification systems in an acute care or professional services setting

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High school diploma

Prior coding experience in ICD-10-CM and HCPCS / CPT coding

Certification as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC, or completion within 6 months of employment

Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT / HCPCS coding classification systems

Preferred : A.S. or B.S. from an accredited Health Information program
