Job Description

We are seeking a full-time in-office Tax Accountant with strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to join our team at our established and growing CPA firm in Durham, NC. The position requires proactive and effective communication with clients and staff. The firm has a heavy tax-season workload which may require additional hours during tax season.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
• Perform monthly bookkeeping for multiple clients
• Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
• Meet time constraints and deadlines
• Work independently and with others with limited supervision
• Support a heavy tax-season workload with additional hours during tax season
