Job Description : Must-Haves

Licenses : RT(R) or Paramedic

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire. Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained through the American Heart Association (ACLS) is required within 6 months of employment.

Graduate of Radiology Technology program (RT-R), or Graduate of a Paramedic Program.

Diagnostic viewing of coronary and peripheral arteries

• Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS)
• Revascularization of coronary and peripheral arteries
• Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
• Stenting
• Peripheral Atherectomy
• Insertion of Temporary and Permanent Pacemakers
• Mechanical and Pharmacological Thrombolysis
• Right Heart Catheterization
• Insertion of Swan-Ganz catheters
• Insertion of Intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
• Insertion, removal, exchange, declots of hemodialysis catheters
• Insertion of PICC lines
• Insertion of nephrostomy tubes, g-tubes, biliary drains
• Insertion of Pleurx catheters
• Kyphoplasty
• Vertebroplasty
• Monitoring and documentation of hemodynamic status intraprocedure.

Maintains sterile field. Safely prepares and labels all the medications on the sterile field, continually accounts for number and location of instruments, sharps, sponges to prevent retained foreign objects. Operates and maintains fluoroscopy equipment.

Qualifications - External

Minimum Education

High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.

Graduate of Radiology Technology program (RT-R), or Graduate of a Paramedic Program.
