Job Description

Join our HII Mission Technologies team- We work on the only shipyard to execute the Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) of a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. The mid-life RCOH includes refueling of nuclear reactors, overhauling most machinery, and modernizing warfare systems. RCOH ensures the Navy's aircraft carriers incorporate improved capabilities needed for success in the remaining 25 years of service. Your accomplishments will make a positive impact supporting the U.S. Navy and America's national defense! We are seeking a Master Tradesperson 2 (Mid-level mechanic) to join our growing team. RCOH trades teams provide expert solutions on shipboard alterations and installations for fleet modernization. The selected candidate will support RCOH, working closely with our skilled trades teams, on surface ships, utilizing various tools of the trade, removing, installing and upgrading industrial systems and equipment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Support trades team by working on active class surface ships to assist with alterations and installations for fleet modernization.
• Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on shipboard systems, integrated systems, and related equipment on board Aircraft Carriers.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
• Learn and apply production processes toward completion of assignments.
• Perform a variety of non-routine task.
• Perform duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.
