Job descriptionPrevious experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role preferred. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. MUST have a valid California Food Handler's Certification, or able to acquire one upon being hired. Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring high-quality dishes are served efficiently. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean, organized, and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper food storage and handling.
- Assist with ingredient preparation, such as chopping vegetables and preparing sauces.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Follow instructions from the Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager.
- Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining overall cleanliness.
- Adapt to special requests and dietary restrictions as needed.
