We are a woman-owned, faith-based Texas law firm since 1987. Our expanding, established law firm is looking for an experienced Attorney to handle all types of probate, take charge of initial intake of probate and family law clients, make house calls and hospital calls when necessary, and draft excellent estate planning documents for everyday middle-class people. This role carries a great deal of responsibility.
We require a highly analytical applicant with excellent negotiation and organizational abilities who is available to work full-time at our location, either in San Antonio or New Braunfels. You must be warm and friendly to put people at ease, and sales experience is preferred. You will handle all types of probate matters from start to finish, prepare documents such as simple wills, conduct will execution ceremonies, do initial estate planning consultations, and also interview potential new family law clients as our intake attorney to transition the client over to a litigation attorney.

This is NOT an entry-level position. You must have a Texas bar license in good standing and experience in Texas probate law. We need a reputable attorney who can hit the ground running!
It is also not a remote position. We need you available to collaborate, share your energy, and discuss issues with team members in the office when you are not in court.
Our ideal candidate will be a qualified Texas attorney with at least 5 years of experience in Texas probate law and excellent written communication abilities. Please apply if this describes you!
Compensation :
$94,000 yearly plus bonuses
Responsibilities :
Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation processHelp solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of actionCreate wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for your clientsRepresent clients in court proceedings as neededOrganize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept currentWork closely with senior attorneys and paralegals to transition potential clients into firm clients with probate and family law cases, and assign litigation clients to another appropriate attorney in the firmHandle uncontested and contested probate cases, both testate and intestate, from application to conclusionEstablish rapport and goodwill with potential new clients and persuade them to hire this firm because you are confident we can help them better than any other firmPrepare simple Wills and powers of attorney, and conduct the execution ceremoniesAssist with initial consultations in all types of estate planning, probate, and family law casesMaintain accurate and organized client filesMeet billable hour requirements, and also work efficiently and swiftlyCommunicate regularly with clients to keep them informed on their case statusWilling to become certified in guardianship matters if you are not alreadyParticipate in firm community goodwill activities and social media videosQualifications :
Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)Candidates should be great communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are highWorking knowledge of title insurance, wills, trusts, property management, and residential and commercial real estate law, including litigationAt least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on on estate planning and probate law issues is necessary4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this positionMust hold a Texas law license in good standingMust have at least 5 years of experience in Texas estate planning and probate lawMust complete the DISC profileMust be of excellent reputationMust have a working knowledge of the rules and procedures for intestate probateMust have a working knowledge of wills, trusts, probate, and TODDsMust be able to complete tasks in a timely manner while being thoroughAbout Company
